Site Audit Visit
Site audit visiting provides an opportunity to review your current arrangements and your health and safety performance. Identifying areas of compliance and opportunities for improvement. Swan Safety provide an impartial, honest review, concentrating on ensuring legal compliance, best practice and hazard spotting.
The site visit includes a detailed report, with photos, highlighting areas of good practice and opportunities for improvement. The report includes a clear action plan, with recommendations.
A consultant with relevant industry experience most suited to your business needs and industry will be appointed to you.
Swan Safety’s consultants will visit the construction site with you and/or your representative and review the current environment and arrangements for managing and coordinating the construction phase. The review will include relevant site documentation and a visual inspection with proportionate comments will be raised, where necessary.
The visit purpose is to establish a positive and safe working environment whilst supporting you with promoting a positive safety culture.
CDM Advisor
Swan Safety will appoint a competent advisor to support and assist you with your duties to comply with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
Your dedicated consultant will help ensure compliance and assist with client meetings, Pre-construction information, Contractor Selection, Construction Phase Plans and more.
Whether you are a client, designer, principal designer, principal contractor or contractor we can assist in ensuring your construction project applies health and safety throughout conception, design, construction, use, maintenance and eventual dismantle or demolition.
In addition to the production of the appropriate regulated documentation, this service is supported by a telephone and email service, pre start and progress meetings, and general health and safety inspections necessary for the size and type of project.
Policy and Management System Development
We work with you to draw up a set of policies and procedures that systematically manages your health and safety at work in order to help minimise the risk of harm in your workplace.
Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMs)
Swan Safety help our clients produce risk assessments and advise our clients to understand that well managed and planned risk management does have to be negative, and that appropriate risk management can lead process efficiencies and opportunities to improve. Swan Safety consultants have extensive experience supporting businesses to produce risk assessments.
Method statements used for higher risk or complex work to provide instruction and information for employees on how the work should be safely carried and the necessary precautions and arrangements to be taken to conduct the work safely.
Clients and Principal Contractors typically require Method Statements to provide the necessary information on how you will conduct your work safely, the risks involved it the proposed works and the arrangements to be implemented.
Accreditation Support
Swan Safety can support you with submissions for accreditations such as CHAS, Constructionline, Acclaim and others. The support includes providing appropriate review and support with questionnaires and highlighting the necessary evidence required.
Accident/Incident Investigations
Accident investigation is a necessary means to determine the cause of an accident to prevent recurrence and implement appropriate mitigation. Allowing appropriate and proportionate remedial actions and procedures to be amended to prevent re-occurrences.
Support will include the production of a detailed investigation report to identify root cause and if required support any legal action.
Accident investigation support will include; a review of the location and environment to gather the necessary recording of evidence; review of health and safety documentation relevant to the accident/incident;; witness statements; injured parties statement; etc.
Your consultants can offer a further support and monitoring as required to help implement any remedial actions.
