Registration of Landbased Operatives (ROLO) qualification

The Department of Trade & Industry made it a ‘duty of care’ that all trade bodies ensure that their members were adequately trained in Health & Safety and that all employers should show that personnel are properly trained.

The ROLO Scheme (Registration Of Landbased Operatives) is open to anyone who works in the Land based Industry and is a requirement if you need to apply for a LISS/CSCS card. On successful completion of this one day landbased Health & Safety Course, a certificate is issued to the applicant and is valid for 5 years.

Course Aim

The ROLO Operative course is an introductory health and safety qualification and aims to provide ROLO operatives with the basics of Health & Safety law, regulations, risk assessment, hazard awareness, protective equipment, electrical awareness, excavations, work at height, PUWER, LOLER and more.
